FAQ

Common questions.

How does Fulfil connect to my 3PL?
Fulfil has native integrations with leading 3PLs including ShipBob, Flexport, Mintsoft, and others. Orders route to your 3PL automatically when they're ready to ship, with every movement posting to your general ledger.
Can I use multiple 3PLs at the same time?
Yes. Fulfil supports multiple concurrent 3PL connections. Set routing rules to send each order to the best location based on stock availability, shipping zone, and service level.
What 3PL integrations does Fulfil support?
Fulfil has direct integrations with ShipBob, Flexport, Mintsoft, Snapfulfil, MasonHub, ShipMonk, and many others. Any 3PL running a supported WMS platform, including Endless Commerce and Deposco, is also covered.
Does using a 3PL affect my inventory accounting in Fulfil?
Generally no. Inventory at your 3PL is tracked and valued the same as inventory in your own warehouse. COGS posts when orders ship regardless of which location fulfils them, and your balance sheet reflects stock across all locations. The exception is if you track inventory cost by warehouse location, in which case 3PL costs may need separate configuration.
What if my 3PL doesn't have its own WMS?
Your 3PL can work directly in Fulfil's 3PL Portal instead of running their own warehouse system. Enable the portal on their warehouse location and invite portal users scoped to that warehouse, and they get a browser-based place to run fulfillment: open a shipment to mark it shipped, enter the tracking number and carrier, and record the shipment cost, plus handle receiving, returns, transfers, manufacturing orders, and inventory for their location. A dashboard shows what's ready to ship, purchase orders awaiting receipt, low-stock alerts, and an inventory snapshot, so a 3PL without a WMS still fulfills against live orders instead of a spreadsheet. Each warehouse has its own portal link, and a user needs a separate invite for every warehouse they work in.
What can my 3PL do with a shipment in the 3PL Portal?
Beyond marking a shipment shipped with tracking, carrier, and cost, your 3PL picks the lot for lot-tracked products in the Lot column of the shipment items table. A lot must be chosen from the available lots before the item can move on, and the choice carries to the outgoing move when the shipment ships. When the shipment has a stored label, the print menu has a Shipping Label option that prints ZPL to a label printer or a PDF with a preview.
How do my 3PL and I find out why a shipment didn't reach the warehouse?
The Activity timeline on a shipment in the 3PL Portal lists each call Fulfil made to the warehouse integration for that shipment, with the request and response behind it. Your 3PL can see why a push failed without asking you to relay the error. Because these payloads can include customer personal data, they show only to users with the View PII permission. The portal shipment list also has a 3PL Status filter, and shipments with a stored 3PL error show a badge with the error on hover, so you can find failed pushes, update polls, and cancellations without opening each one. You can also subscribe to a notification for cycle counts that fail to import from a 3PL, filtered by warehouse and delivered in-app, by email, or on Slack.
